Arthur Hasserodt

Arthur W. Hasserodt, 54, of Unity, Wisconsin, died May 3, 2008, at the House Of The Dove in Marshfield under the tender care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Services are pending.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Spencer is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Arthur W. Hasserodt

Arthur W. Hasserodt, 54, of Spencer and Marshfield, Wisconsin, died following a long illness due to cancer Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the House of the Dove under the tender and loving care of the Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer. The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix will officiate.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Private family burial will take place at a later date.

Arthur was born at Overall Memorial Hospital in Coleman, Texas, on July 21, 1953, to John and Carolyn (Wass) Hasserodt. At the age of two, Arthur and his family moved to Staten Island, N.Y. He attended grade school at P.S. 29 Richmond, then later graduated from Susan Wagner High School. Art then enrolled in John Jay College in New York City. During his college years he also worked as a cabinetmaker out East. Later he moved to Spencer where he worked on his family farm. At the time of his death, Arty was working at St. Vincent DePaul store in Marshfield as a supervisor.

Arthur is survived by his parents, John and Carolyn of Spencer; his fiancée and his soulmate, Diane Hennes of Marshfield; his brother, Rex (Renee) Hasserodt of Marshfield; two nephews, Ross and Riley Hasserodt of Marshfield; and a niece, Annie Hasserodt of Tomahawk.

Art is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elizabeth and Arthur Wass and Asa and Selma Hasserodt; a brother John Jr.; and an infant sister.

The family wishes the thank the staff at both the House of the Dove and Palliative Care at Saint Joseph's Hospital for their excellent care. Also a special thanks to the staff at St. Vincent DePaul Store for their love and support.
