York Center - by Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence

William Grave of Charles City, Iowa, visited at the home of his niece, Mrs. Walter Rowe and family, several days last week.

Mr. and Mrs. William Schultz of Ashland spent from Wednesday until Saturday at the Bert Walker home. Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Schultz are sisters.

Herman Noeldner and crew put up a concrete wall for Harold Mortimer the past week.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Habeck and daughters of Milwaukee spent the past week at the Dale Dorn home.

Harvey Voight of Milwaukee spent the past week with home folks.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Horn spent Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence.

Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens and daughter of Clintonville and Fred Dahel called on Mrs. E. H. Dahl Thursday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hanke and daughter Alice, Reeseville, and Miss Elsie Drescher, Milwaukee, were Friday night supper guests at the Emil Korth home.

Dicky Eibergen helped Milford Rowe cut grain the past week.

Mrs. Hattie Turner spent the past week at the home of her son, George and family, at Neillsville.

Mrs. Mary Wierenzanski has been visiting at the home of her sons, Paul, Max, and John, in Marshfield, since last week.

Elmer Anderson combined for Ray Mortimer Monday forenoon and for Roy Chase Monday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence spent Thursday evening at the Herb Free home.

Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Mortimer visited at the Albert Schwarze home in Greenwood Sunday.

Mrs. Frank Downer and Daughter, Mrs. Elmer McName and daughters of Vesper, spent Sunday at the Frank and Ted Downer home. Mrs. Downer remained for an indefinite stay.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Korth and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hanke and daughter, Alice, and Miss Elsie Drescher attended the Drescher cousins’ picnic at Schuster Park Sunday.

Janet Reich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reich of Independence, came Sunday for a **Rest Cut off.*
