Neilsen, Dorothy (Marriage - July 1957)

Zasoba-Nielsen

The Nazareth Lutheran Church was the scene of the afternoon nuptials of Miss Dorothy Nielsen of Withee and Peter Zasoba of Chattanooga, Tenn. The Rev. Clayton Neilsen performed the ceremony before an altar banked with summer flowers.

The bride approached the altar in a street-length dress of light blue nylon, complimented by a white hat trimmed with sequins and veiling. Her corsage was an orchid surrounded by roses.

Ushering duties were performed by Harold Christensen and George Sorenson.

Immediately after the ceremony a reception was held at the church parlors with an open house in the evening at the bride's home. Friends and relatives from Munich, Germany, Abbotsford, Peoria, Ill., Curtiss, Phillips, and Sheboygan, were greeted by the couple.

The couple left on a tour later in the evening. When they return, Zasoba will leave for Chattanooga where he is employed at the National Buriel Insurance Company as an insurance agent and collector. The bride will continue making her home in Withee where she will resume her duties as postmistress. The bride is a graduate of Owen High School and also attended State Teachers College at Eau Claire. The groom is a graduate of Abbotsford High School and Northwestern University.
