Pogodzinski, Frank (2 DEC 1874 - 11 OCT 1945)

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church on Monday morning, Oct. 15, for Frank Pogodzinski, 70, who passed away at the Legault Hospital at Owen, on Oct. 11, 1945. Officiating clergymen were Rev. Francis Piekarski, Rev. Jerome Kamla and Rev. Hilary Katlewski. Interment was made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Pogodzinski was born in Poland on Dec. 2, 1874. He came to this county in 1892 and settled with his father near Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where he resided until two years ago when he went to Withee to stay with his daughter, Mrs. Joanne Zawadzki.

He leaves to mourn, three sons, Barney F. and Albert of Owen, and Leon in the armed forces; eight daughters, Anna Smollar, Iron Mountain, Mich., Elizabeth Bandach and Francis Platt of Thorp, Victoria Zawadzki of Owen, Joanne Zawadzki of Withee, Hattie Swiontek of Stanley, and Bernice Morgan and Stella Franks of Chicago; and twenty-eight grandchildren.

His wife passed away in 1932, and three other children also preceded him in death.
