Greenwood - by Miss Louise Keiser

Mrs. John Emberson has arrived home, after spending the pat two months with relatives and friends in the Dakota and Minnesota.

Relatives and friends honored Gottlieb Kuester at his home Friday evening, March 3, in observance of his 78th birth anniversary. Sheep head furnished the entertainment for the evening. After the group had sung the Happy Birthday song at midnight, lunch was served.

Mrs. Linn Enockson, R. N., has been granted a license by the State Board of Health to conduct and maintain a maternity department to be known as the Greenwood maternity home, located a block east of the Greenwood City hall.

The pension house previously operated by Mrs. Enockson was closed October 1, 1943, for a month while the main part of the building was redecorated.

Mrs. Enockson, the former Ilma Hoehne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Hoehne, Greenwood, is a graduate of Greenwood High School with the class of 1926, and was also graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester.
