Klueckman, Albert (25 July 1851 - 31 Mar. 1944)

Funeral services for Albert Klueckman, 92, town of Weston, were conducted Monday, April 3, from the Globe Lutheran Church, preceded by brief services at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Helen Scheel. Rev. Adolph Schumann was the officiating pastor, and burial took place in the Globe cemetery. Mr. Klueckman died Friday, March 31, at the home of Mrs. Scheel, were he had been living the past year. Death was attributed to old age.

He was born in Germany on July 25, 1851, the son of Gottlieb and Ernestine (Schwandt) Klueckman. At the age of 19, he came to this county, Wis., residing there until 1875 when he came with his parents, who had joined him in the United States, to Clark County. He located in the town of Weston, where he has since made his home.

He was married in 1884, to Bertha Hagedorn, at Globe. Six children were born to them, four dying in infancy. Mrs. Klueckman passed away in April, 1943. He is survived by his two daughters, Mrs. Helene Scheel, and Laura, Mrs. C. W. Kalsow, both residing at Globe. There are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His parents, two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Klueckman was an honored and respected man in his community, and for many years, prominent in public affairs. He served the town of Weston as treasurer and assessor and on the town board, and for 25 years served on the school board. He was for many years a member of the Globe church board, serving in that capacity at the time of the present church was built. He had been ill, and confined to his home the past three years.

Pallbearers, all relatives of the deceased were, Albert, Otto, Edward, Gust and Lebrecht Kalsow and Edwin Klueckman. The Jaster Funeral service had charge of arrangements.
