Teclaw, Stanley (16 APR 1862 - 21 FEB 1945)

Stanley Teclaw, who had reached the ripe old age of 83 years and 10 months, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eric Larson in the Town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.) at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 21st, of cerebral hemorrhage due to old age.

Mr. Teclaw was born in Poland on April 16, 1862. He came to America in 1886 and located in Chicago, where he was united in marriage to Mary Janorka in 1888. They came to Thorp in the year 1900 and settled on a farm six miles north and one-half mile west in the town of Taft (Taylor Co.). In 1912 he sold the farm and moved to a farm in the town of Withee, northeast of Thorp. Mrs. Teclaw preceded him in death, Dec. 7, 1925, and recently Mr. Teclaw made his home with his daughter.

Surviving are three sons, Michael of Thorp, Joseph of Longwood and Edmund of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. (Estelle) Eric Larson of Withee, Mrs. (Jeanette) Michael Milewski of Thorp, and Mrs. (Theresa) Carl Landwehr of Chicago, thirty-two grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by Father Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church on Monday morning at ten o’clock with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Sylvester and John Ogurek, Leon and Marian Teclaw, Donald Teclaw and Leonard Milewski.
