Alice Wehe

LOYAL, Services for Alice Wehe, 68, Loyal, who died at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal.

The Rev. Roman Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Robert, Rusty, and Tom Wehe, Brian and Bruce Phillips and David LeFleur.

Visitation will be at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, from 4-9 p.m. today with a Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service at 4:15 and a prayer service at 7 tonight.

She was born Dec.13, 1922, to Paul and Anna (Krueger) Schmidtke. She attended grade school at Heathville School. She was married to Eugene Wehe Sr.

She and her husband farmed for 22 years in Clark. They later owned and operated the Night Owl Bar for six years. She had been a resident of the Marshfield Living Center for the past three years.

Survivors include eight sons, Eugene Jr. of Yakutat, Alaska, William of Long Beach, Calif. James, of Garden Grove, Calif., Duane of Elkhorn, Richard of Milton, Mike of Delavan, Dave of Whitewater and Roger of Loyal; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Day (Shirley)Phillips of Waupaca, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Frader of Marshfield and Kathy Niswonger of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Carmen Elpert of Unity, three brothers, Larry of Illinois, Donald of Iowa, and Tony of Greenwood; her step-mother Hazel Schmidtke of Hillsboro; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, and two sons, Kenneth and Ronald, and one daughter, Karen.
