Poppe, June J. (30 SEP 1944)

Saturday morning at the Sacred Heart Church of Jim Falls, Miss June Juanita Poppe, daughter of Mrs. Albert Barlow, Jim Falls, became the bride of Max Beller of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Father Kasper performed the ten o’clock double ring ceremony on Sept. 30, 1944.

The bride was attired in a soldier blue ensemble with a corsage of red roses. Miss Rita Morrissey of Ladysmith, the bridesmaid, wore a light brown sheer gown with medium blue accessories and a corsage of yellow roses.

The groom and his attendant William Ramer each wore a dark suit with white carnation boutonniere.

Mother of the bride was attired in a dress of dark blue crepe with dark blue accessories and a corsage of white roses.

A candlelight supper was served at the home of the bride, and a three-tier wedding cake adorning the center of the table.

A dance was held at the American Legion Hall at Thorp, Saturday evening in honor of the bridal couple.

Mr. and Mrs. Beller will make their home in Thorp.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Cookson of Waukegan, Ill.
