Schilling, Elizabeth (18 OCT 1858 - 12 DEC 1941)

Mrs. Elizabeth Prell Schilling, was born at Jefferson, Wis., on Oct. 18, 1858 and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Max Voss on Friday, Dec. 12th of a heart ailment.

The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Prell, both deceased. She was united in marriage to William Schilling on Jan. 18, 1881 and in 1883 she came with her husband to Clark County where they settled on a farm three and a half miles northeast of Loyal in the Town of Loyal. Here they lived until March 1937 when they moved to the home of their daughter, Mrs. Max Voss in the Township of Beaver.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Jefferson and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here.

Surviving her are her aged husband Wm. Schilling, two sons, Albert of Weyauwega and Frank of Alkoba, North Dakota. Also her daughter, Mrs. Max Voss of the Town of Beaver. She also leaves two brothers, Christ Prell of Oshkosh and Nick Prell of Edgerton, two sisters, Barbara Fromader of Janesville and Mrs. Eva Palm of Loyal. Also two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held from Trinity Lutheran Church here on Dec. 16th at 2:00 P. M. with burial in the Dodgeville Cemetery in the Town of Loyal, Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating.

Pall bearers were: Wm. Deuermeyer, Phillip Capelle, Herman Liske, Frank Stange, Fred Clouse and Herman Konshak.

Those in charge of the flowers were: The Mesdames Phillip Capelle, Herman Konshak, Fred Clouse, Herman Lieske, Emelie Jenni, Wm. Deuermeyer and Frank Stange.

The Tribune joins the many relatives and friends of the deceased in extending sympathy to the bereaved families.
