Smazal, Marcella A. “Sally” (23 Jun 1949 – 27 Jan 2021)

Marcella “Sally” A. Smazal, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at Marshfield Health Services.

A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. We encourage those in attendance to abide by the COVID-19 guidelines by sanitizing, wearing a mask (if able) and social distancing.

Sally was born June 23, 1949, the daughter of Charles and Clara (Ress) Smazal in Marshfield. She was employed at the Marshfield Cannery, Edgar Badger Basket Company, Kmart, Figis and Christ Lutheran Church Daycare in Abbotsford.

Sally liked spending time with her family, going to the casino with her casino buddy, Wayne Peterson and listening to country music, especially Trace Adkins, her favorite singer.

Sally is lovingly survived by her two children: Brenda Smazal of Marshfield and Steven Smazal of Marshfield; two grandchildren: Brittany (Michael) Bump of Marshfield and Bradley (Junior) Bell of Marshfield; and two great-grandchildren: Savannah and Roman. She is further survived by a brother: Kenneth (Judy) Smazal of Abbotsford; four sisters: Clara Schwantes of Wausau, Beverly Galowski of Medford, Jeanette Smazal of Wausau and Marlene Galowski of Omro; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
