Mielke, Mabel (1928? - 6 Sept. 1959)

Two persons died as the result of a two-car collision at 4:55 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of County Trunks C and E about 7 miles east of Spencer.

Dead were Donald Kohlbeck, 25, of Stratford, driver of the car going west on C, which failed to stop for the arterial, and Mrs. Hugo Mielke, 31, Colby, a passenger in the car driven by her husband going north on E.

Mrs. Mielke was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz, route 1, Spencer.

She was born November 1, 1927 in the town of Unity and was a graduate of the Unity High School.

She married Hugo Mielke on May 28, 1955 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, North Spencer.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Mielke will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. John’s Lutheran Church, town of Wein.

She is survived by her husband, and two children, her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Berdine) Krause, route 2, Spencer; and Mrs. Elroy (Eunice) Luepke, Spencer, a brother, Norbert, Spencer, and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Martha Schwantes, Owen. Two brothers, Gerhardt and Wilbur, preceded her in death.
