Flink, August G. (30 Aug. 1879 - 25 July 1958)

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, for August G. Flink, 78, who died at his home in Unity Sunday afternoon.

The body reposed at the Jasperson Funeral Home in Spencer from Monday to Wednesday noon when it was taken to the church.

The Rev. Robert Langseth officiated at the services and burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mr. Flink was born in Sweden Aug. 30, 1879, and at the age of three came to the Unity area, where he received his education in rural schools and farmed until 1944, when he moved to the village, where he had lived since.

He was married on Sept. 9, 1908, in Milwaukee to Elsie Peterson, who preceded him in death. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Peter (Linda) Wootos, Mrs. Warren (Loretta) Fuller, both of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Frank (Beatrice) Obernberger, Athens; Mrs. Bernard (Alice) Tessmer, Colby; three sons, Loraine Flink, Waterford; Conrad Flink, Unity; Walter Flink, Spencer; 21 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Stark, Unity; Jenny Uecker, Waterford, and four brothers, William and John Flink, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Carl and Oscar Flink, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He also was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, four sisters, and one brother.

Pallbearers were Elmer Carlson, Lester Ewert, William Siegrist, Harry Mandel, Herbert Binning and Lester Safemaster.

Those in charge of flowers were Mrs. Ronald Baldwin, Mona Flink, Nancy Flink, Bonnie Flink, and Jerry and Elaine Obenberger.

Al Justman, Roy Justman, Mrs. J. A. Olson, Mrs. Alfred Johnson and Merlin Justman accompanied by Mrs. Ansel Messer at the organ, sang "Softly and Tenderly, Jesus is Calling" and "Face to Face."

Out of town people here for the final rites were Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Flink and daughter, Mona, Mrs. Ronald Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Uecker and Sherry Lee, Susan and Steven, and Mrs. Herman Uecker of Waterford; Mrs. Warren Fuller, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wootos, Mrs. Edward Peterson, Mrs. Andrew Bergstrom and son, Gordon and Mrs. Kate Fuller, all of Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Obenberger, Jerry, Elaine and Dale, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Tessmer, sons Ronald and William, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schwantes, all of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Flink and daughters Nancy and Bonnie and son, Dennis, and Russell Sampson, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. William Flink, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Seaman and daughters, Joseph Saunders and daughters, all of Minneapolis, Minn.; Carl Flink and son, Marvin, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Flink, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Dallman, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Falk, Mrs. Alma Johnson, of Clintonville.

I am looking for the burial of Edward William Flink born in 1888. Father was Simon Eric Flink, mother Anna C Johnson Flink. Last info he was Ca. In 1934. Trying to find out what happened to him. Thanks
