Briski, Angeline #2 (17 JUN 1944)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church on Saturday, June 17, 1944, when Miss Angeline Briski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Briski of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Mr. Florian Gulczinski, son of Mrs. Stanley Gulczinski of Thorp (Clark Co.). Rev. F. Piekarski officiated at the nuptial mass.

The bride who was escorted to the altar by her father wore a net and lace gown with a four yard train and a five yard length veil with a tiara of crown pearls. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies. Miss Mercedes Varano, niece of the groom, as maid of honor, wore a yellow net gown with matching tiara and blusher. Her bouquet was gladioli, carnations and roses.

Miss Katherine Briski, sister of the bride, and Miss Amelia Venesnik wore yellow net gowns. Miss Goldie Briski and Miss Leona Landoski wore blue net gowns and tiaras and blushers to match.

The groom who wore a brown suit with a carnation boutonniere, was attended by his brothers, Stephen, and Frank, Rort Briski and Mrs.?? Briski of Greenwood. The groom’s attendants all wore dark suits with carnation boutonnieres.

Miss Dorothy Badzinski of Thorp and Miss Virginia Gulczinski of Minnesota, as flower girls, wore pink net gowns with pink hats to match. Both carried colonial bouquets of roses, daisies and carnations.

A wedding dinner and supper were served at the bride’s home to about 130 guests. A wedding cake baked by Mrs. Alfred Schwarz was the centerpiece of the bride’s table.

A wedding dance was held at East Side Hall, Willard, with music by the Nightingales.

The young couple received many gifts and will reside in the Town of Reseburg.
