Ciolkosz, Josephine (14 MAY 1905 - 25 APR 1944)

Mrs. Josephine Ciolkosz, daughter of Mrs. Jos. Lubrant of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died at her home in Gilman on April 25, 1944, death being caused by a heart attack. She had reached the age of 38 years.

The deceased was born in Athens, Ill., on May 14, 1905. She was united in marriage to William Ciolkosz in Thorp on July 5, 1933.

Surviving are her husband and five sons, Henry of Camp White, Oregon, Arthur 9, Roger 8, Alfred 6, and Elmer 3 months, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Katherine Lubrant of Thorp, two brothers, Frank of Bellinger and Charles of Thorp, and five sisters, Mrs. Walter Tyznik, Lublin; Mrs. Anna Olejniczak and Mrs. Ray Falk, Chicago; Mrs. Ted Markowski, Owen; and Miss Rose Lubrant, Thorp.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Polaszewski at St. Mary’s Polish National Church at Lublin on Monday morning at ten o’clock with interment following in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: Adolph Burzynski, Anton Lewan, Bernard Slota, Joe Staron, Albert Patchak and Ed Smoczyk.
