Ringquist, Julia (2 Mar. 1885 - 13 Aug. 1955)

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, for Mrs. Gust (Julia) Ringquist, 69, who died at her home at Unity at 11:20 a.m. Saturday following a lingering illness.

She had been in ill health the past seven weeks.

Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiated at the service and burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery, west of Unity.

The body reposed at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when it was taken to the church.

Mrs. Ringquist, nee Williamson, was born March 2, 1885, in the town of Brighton, the daughter of the original settlers of the Scadinavian settlement between the villages of Spencer and Unity. On November 17, 1904, she was married to Gust Rindquist, who survives her. The couple lived in the settlement until 1946, when they retired and moved to Unity, where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary November 17, 1954.

She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of its first confirmation class, Ladies Aid Society and Missionary Society.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Eleanor) Budde, Colby; one son, Lloyd, Spencer; four grandchildren, one great-grandson, one sister, Mrs. Herman (Anna) Schwantes, and one brother, William Williamson, Arpin.

Three married sisters preceded her in death and six other children of the Williamson family died in infancy.
