Hassenorhl, Rosaleen Mary (Marriage - 20 Aug. 1955)

Miss Rosalina Mary Hassenorhl chose a gray faille princess style dress for her wedding Saturday morning at 11 o’clock to Roderick Lyle Ewert, which was performed in the rectory of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, Wis. The Rev. Vincent Schwartz officiated at the ceremony.

The bride, who had a corsage of red and white roses pinned at her shoulderline, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hassenorhl, Colby, Wis. The groom is the son of Mrs. Dora Ewert, Unity and Henry Ewer, Dorchester, Wis.

The bride’s sister and brother were the only attendants for the young couple. Miss Marceline Hassenorhl donned a gray faille dress for the occasion and also had a corsage of red and white roses pinned to her frock. Richard Hassenorhl performed the duties of best man for his new brother-in-law.

Both mothers of the young couple chose navy blue dresses and white accessories for the wedding. Corsages of pink carnations graced their shoulderlines.

At 8 o’clock that evening the newlyweds greeted relatives and friends at a reception at the home of the parents of the bride.

The bride is a 1955 graduate of the Colby High School and the groom, who is employed as a telegraph operator for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, is a 1953 graduate of Unity High School.

Guests attended from Auburndale, Hewitt, Marshfield, Eau Claire, Milwaukee, Dorchester, Unity, Spencer and Chippewa Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Ewert honored the bride at a miscellaneous shower at their home on August 20.

The Register joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
