Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sternitzky and daughter, Nancy, spent New Year’s Day with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sternitzky.

Clayton Converse and his sister, Mrs. Orra Beeckler, attended an oyster supper Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Beeckler. A large company of friends and relatives watched the Old Year out and the New Year in.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jahr and son, Marvin, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jahr and daughter, Marian, were Wednesday evening guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Jahr in Granton, the occasion being in honor of the latter’s birthday.

Mrs. Marvin Eide and three daughters of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jahr and daughter spent New Year’s Day with Mr. and Mrs. Halvor Eide and daughter, Ellen.

Mr. and Mrs. Grant Johnson spent Sunday at the Carl Zias home Auburndale.

Clayton Converse and Mrs. Ora Beeckler accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Rella Osgood and daughter, Betty to Milladore Sunday. Miss Betty returned to her teaching duties after the usual holiday vacation.

Sunday dinner and supper guests at the Henry Elmhorst, Sr., home were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Elmhurst and family from Pleasant Ridge, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmhurst and daughter, Wanda, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elmhurst of Chili, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Smith and family, and Mrs. Gordon Ritter and son, Bruce of Chili.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jahr and daughter spent Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Linton Jahr in Levis.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grassman came Friday evening for a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Grassman. Herbert is serving in the navy and has been stationed in the Aleutian Islands for the past year.

The Misses Verna and Vera Elmhurst, who have been visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Elmhurst, Sr., are returning to their employment at Milwaukee Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Grimm and daughters of Stratford spent Tuesday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wright. Mrs. Grimm is a niece of Mrs. Wright.

New Year guests at the Clarence Elmhurst home were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Elmhurst, Sr., daughters, Verna and Vera, Mrs. Ted Smith and two sons.

Joe Downer of Eau Claire spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Malvina Downer, and his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wright.

Little Margaret Ann Alyes of Rockford, Ill., who is spending some time with her grandparents, **Rest cut off. **
