Miller, Janet (6 Jun 1940 - 11 March 2008)

Janet Miller, age 67, of Withee, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial services were Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at New Harvest Assembly of God Church in Withee. Friends were able to stay for fellowship after the service. Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Janet was born and raised in Nebraska, completing 12 years of school in Ainsworth. She lived on a ranch and worked in the sale barn in Bassett, Nebraska until 1971 when the family moved to Wisconsin to operate a dairy farm. Janet worked for Pogo’s Hardware and retired from the position of Withee Village Clerk-Treasurer.

She is survived by three children: Pamala (Paul) Brekke, Eau Claire, WI, Monte Miller, Spooner, WI, and matt (Tanta) Miller, Withee, WI; one grandchild, Michael James Miller; one sister, Shirley (LeRoy) Meyers, Quartz Hill, CA; and one brother, Craig (Jerri) Smith, Centennial, CO; along with a host of wonderful close friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
