Helz, Louise (14 NOV 1850 - 04 MAR 1942)

Mrs. Louise Helz, 91, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Larsen at Withee at 4:15 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, after an illness of but a week.

The remains were sent to Milwaukee where funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, March 6, from St. Ann’s church. The solemn Requiem high mass will be read with the Rt. Rev. Monseignor Traudt of Milwaukee, celebrant, and her two nephews, Father Anthony Sundrum of Milwaukee, deacon, and Father Albert Loby, Berlin, sub-deacon. Interment will made in the Holy Cross cemetery at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Helz was born in Richfield on November 14, 1850. She spent practically all of her life in Milwaukee until ten years ago when she came to Withee and made her home with her daughter.

Mrs. Helz was a mother who enjoyed every moment of her life right up to the week preceding her death. She was a woman of good true character and was contented when giving and doing for someone. She enjoyed a good keen sharp mind in her late years of life and daily enjoyed the visit of her many friends and neighbors in Withee.

She was the mother of three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Marie) Larsen of Withee, and Louise Burg of Milwaukee, and one daughter, Emma, who preceded her in death in 1935, as did her husband many years ago. She is also survived by a brother, George Widmeyer of West Bend, a sister, Emma Hansen of Hubertus, and three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
