Bio: Evans, David S. & Fanny (Roscoe)

Thank you for providing this information. I just have a few questions about this article...

This article begins, "David S. Evans was born in New York in 1838. He married Fanny (Roscoe/Rusco) about 1847..." If that is true, then he would have only been 9-years-old at the time of their marriage. I think his birth year is listed incorrectly. According to the 1880 Census, he was born in 1820.

David S. EVANS Birth Year 1820 Birthplace NY Age 60 Occupation Farmer Marital Status M Race W Head of Household David S. EVANS Relation Self Father's Birthplace CT Mother's Birthplace NY

Also, towards the end of the article, this sentence is confusing, "David S. Evans died February 17, 1888 and two years later, just two years into 1900, Fanny also passed away." should this say, "and two years later, just two DAYS into 1900" ? If so, then I take it the article is saying she died on Jan 2, 1900? According to her obit posted on this site, the date of Fanney's death as Jan 29, 1900. See quote and link below.

"Mrs. Fanny Evans died at her home in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, Monday evening, Jan. 29, 1900, aged seventy-five years, two months and thirteen days."
