Esterling, Vera (24 NOV 1943)

On Wednesday, Nov. 24th, 1943, Miss Vera Esterling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Esterling, of Dallas, S.D., became the bride of Corporal Ed W. Karpinski, son of William Karpinski of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis. A double ring ceremony was performed by Judge Hauer of Seattle, Wash.

Attendants of the young couple were: Miss Rosella Hildebrand, niece of the bride; Miss Esther Esterling, sister of the bride, and Cpl. Frank J. Bennett, who served as best man.

The bride was attired in a street length dress of sky blue with matching accessories. Her jewelry was a string of pearls with matching earrings, a gift from the bride’s sister, Esther Esterling, and a gold sweetheart bracelet presented by the groom.

Esther Esterling wore a street length dress matching with the bride’s and Rosella Hildebrand was attired in a powder blue, wool tailored suit. The groom and the best man wore their uniforms.

After the ceremony the bridal party proceeded to the Ben DeParis Café, where the wedding banquet was held. Dinner was served to relatives and close friends of the couple.

Mrs. Karpinski grew to womanhood in Dallas, S.D., where she graduated from Dallas High School. During the past year she has been employed at Bremerton, Wash. Cpl. E. Karpinski, who is stationed near the Navy Yards with the U.S. Army, is formerly from Thorp, Wis. Before entering the service he was employed at the Sunshine Valley Cheese Factory.

Best wishes are extended to the young couple for a happy wedded life.
