Amanda W. Kronschnabl (17 Jun 1880 - 8 Sep 1955)

The Very Rev. Msgr. Thomas F. Hayden officiated at graveside rites in Dorchester Memorial
Cemetery here last Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Amanda W. Kronschnabl, 75, former resident
of this community. She was buried beside her husband, Herman, who died 12 years ago.
Pallbearers were Max, Jerome, and Milton Kronschnabl, Clifford Herman, Carl Mertens, and
Herman Sebold.

Mrs. Kronschnabl died last Thursday at her home in Crandon, and funeral rites were held
from St. Joseph's Catholic church there at 9:00 a. m. Saturday, with Rev. Aloys Pimeskern
officiating.

Mrs. Sarah Kronschnabl, Max, Jerome, Milton, Ceal and Rose, Mr. Clifford and Mrs. Mildred
Kronschnabl Herman and Joe, Mr. Carl and Mrs. Helen Kronschnabl Mertens, and Mrs. Henry
(Elizabeth Heinrichs) Mertens from here attended the Crandon rites. A sister, Mr. John
and Mrs. Jenny Donhardt, Madison, attended funeral and graveside rites.

Amanda W. Loughlin was born June 17, 1880, at Custer, Portage County, WI, attended the
Stevens Point schools, and was graduated from the normal there. Her parents, Dennis &
Margaret Loughlin, moved to this community in 1891, settling on the farm now owned and
operated by the Clarence Gonnering family. She and Herman Kronschnabl were married here
April 29, 1902, and resided here until about 30 years ago when they moved to Crandon, He
was employed by the railroad, was postmaster, and editor of The Clarion before moving to
Crandon, where he was editor of the Forest Republican. He died in November 4, 1943.

Surviving are three children, Marie of Medford, John of Crandon, and Marcella (Mrs. Anton
Ringsmuth) of Wakefield, Mich.; five grandchildren; a sister Jenny (Mrs. John Donhardt)
of Madison, and a brother, Daniel Loughlin, in Australia. A son preceded her in death as
did three brothers and two sisters.
