Barth, Gertrude C. (16 OCT 1965)

Gladioli and chrysanthemums in fall shades graced the altar of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Mt. Horeb, for the 1 p.m. ceremony uniting Miss Gertrude Carol Barth and Roger George Hollfelder in marriage on Oct. 16, 1965. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Conrad W. Barth, Sr., Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. George Hollfelder, Mt. Horeb are the bridegroom's parents.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Conrad O. Barth Jr., wore a delustered satin gown which featured a beaded panel. A pearl crown secured her elbow length veil and she carried an arrangement of bascarra roses.

Mrs. Tony Statz, Mazomania, was matron of honor, in a two-toned chiffon gown. The bodice of gold was accented with matching lace and the jonquil chiffon skirt was floor length. Her contour veil was held by a chiffon bow headpiece. Miss Sharon Eastman, Madison, and Mrs. Lyle Hollfelder, Janesville, as bridesmaids, wore gowns similar to Mrs. Statz's, in olive and Nile green combinations. They carried fall mums as their floral accent.

Lyle Hollfelder, Janesville, served his brother as best man, with the groomsmen Tony Statz, Mazomanie, and the bride's brother, Fred Barth, Greenwood. The guests were seated by Robert and Leonard Barth, Stanley, also the bride's brothers.

The American Legion Hall, Verona, was the site for the reception and buffet luncheon for 250 guests.

After a wedding trip to Washington, D.C. and eastern states, they are at home at R. 1, Mt. Horeb, Wis.

Mrs. Hollfelder is employed as a receptionist at Mendota State Hospital. Her husband attended the short course in agriculture at the University of Wisconsin.
