Merris, Ethel (Marriage - 27 JAN 1942)

The Lawrence Catholic church at Minneapolis, Minn., was the scene of a lovely wedding service uniting Miss Ethel Merris, daughter of W. C. Merris of International Falls, Minn., and Bert F. Beilfuss, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Beilfuss of Withee in marriage at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27. The ceremony was read by the Rev. Father Davitt.

The bride wore a street length crepe dress of pink beige with brown accessories and wore a shoulder corsage of Talisman roses and sweet peas.

Her attendant, June Roth, of Duluth, Minn., wore a dress similar to the bride’s of brown with green accessories and wore a shoulder corsage.

The groom was attended by William H. Johnson of Chippewa Falls as best man.

A dinner was served followed by a reception at the home of the groom’s cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clausen, at St. Paul.

Among those from away that attended the ceremony were the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. J. W. Hodges of Fargo, N. D.; her father, W. C. Merris of International Falls, Minn.; and her sister, Mrs. B. L. Marder of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. F. Primeau, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pelinka, and Mrs. Glyde Nielsen, of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Al. Engel and Beatrice Heagle of St. Paul, Minn.; and Mrs. V. Verner and John Roth of Thorp.
