Riemer, Albert H. (24 JAN 1863 - 29 DEC 1941)

Albert H. Riemer died Monday night, Dec. 29, at Juneau at the age of 78 years. Death was due to the infirmities of old age.

Mr. Riemer was born on Jan. 24, 1863, in Germany the son of William and Louise Riemer. He came to America at the age of five years and grew to manhood near Watertown. In 1889 he married Rose Meyer of Watertown and shortly after their marriage they moved to Greenville where they lived on a farm for ten years, from there they moved to a farm near Colby where they farmed for 30 years. After his retirement he lived in Watertown for a time and later made his home in Juneau.

Surviving him are seven children, John and Mrs. William Kennow of Owen; Louis, Leonard and Meta of Watertown; Ernst of Ft. Atkinson; Mrs. Lee Stafan of Hartford; and 23 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m. at the Zielaff funeral home at Juneau. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery at Juneau.

All the children and a number of grandchildren were present at the funeral and the four sons acted as pallbearers.
