Our New Principal

The high school board has selected Geo. W. Blanchard of this city, as principal of our high school. George was born here twenty-two years ago, and passed through our schools, graduating from high school in 1901. After teaching school one year he went to the state university, from which he graduated with high honors, being chosen class day orator. He comes back to preside over the school that gave him his educational start with high recommendations from the state faculty. The Phonograph chronicled George’s birth, his graduation, his steady advancement at the University, and next year we expect to say that the high standard of work of the past year in our high school has, under the tutorship of Prin. Geo. W. Blanchard, been maintained. George is at present working for the state tax commission and will remain in the commission’s employ until the middle of August.
