Curtiss, Wis. - June 28, 1951

The Helping Hand Society will meet Friday, June 29, with Mrs. Daisy Mercott in Taylor county.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. George Edwards at St. Joseph’s Hospital, on June 21. Mrs. Edwards is the former Jean Hennlich.

Mrs. Clifford Nenzel and daughter of Bloomer spent a few days the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Geary.

Visiting this week with Mrs. Ethel Bowen are her daughters, Mrs. James Moore of New Jersey and Mrs. Frank Leck of Glassport, Pa.

Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Erickson and family of Westby spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson.

Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Long of Milwaukee, Wisconsin spent Sunday with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Klemetson and family.

A son was born on June 18 to Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Grammer at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Billy Geary left Sunday evening for Wisconsin Dells where he will be employed for the summer.

Mrs. A. J. Hennlich spent the week-end in Milwaukee with her daughters, Mrs. Orlyn Wanke and Mrs. Harry Elert and families. Mrs. Elert came home with her for a short visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Krueger and son, Billy, of Westboro spent Sunday with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Koerner.

Mrs. Fritz Laabs entertained at a children’s party Thursday afternoon to celebrate her daughter Patsy’s sixth birthday anniversary.

Mrs. Grant Herrick, Jr., and daughter of Columbus is spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick.

Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Peissig and father, Herman Peissig, were Mr. and Mrs. Art Peissig and family of Wisconsin Dells, Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Peissig and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Peissig and families of Minneapolis.

Mr. and Mrs. Neland Kobs and family and mother, Mrs. Gusta Kobs, of Waukesha are spending this week with the latter’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kobs.

Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Michlig and children are spending their vacation with Mrs. Michlig’s parents in Arkansas.

Sandra Konik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Konik, who underwent an operation for appendicitis at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, returned home Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Hermanson and sons, who have just returned from the west coast, spent Sunday with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Hermanson, before returning to their home in Brook, Ind.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Peterson and family of Waupaca spent several days last week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Pohl.

Mrs. Laura Blodgett and son, Charles, former Hoard residents now living in New Jersey, are visiting friends and relatives here this week.

Mrs. Theo. Thompson returned Saturday from a three-day visit with relatives in Menomonie.
