Chapman, James (10 June 1864 - 13 Dec. 1950)

James Chapman, a former resident of Unity, Wisconsin, died at a hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, Wednesday evening at 11 o’clock at the age of 86 years, several hours after suffering a stroke at the home of his son, George. Mr. Chapman lived in Unity, just west of the village, until about 10 years ago. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Unity, Rev. F. J. Smith of Colby officiating, and internment was in the Unity cemetery.

Surviving are two sons, George of Des Moines, Iowa, and Ralph of Texas.
