Collier, Charles Henry (10 Oct. 1911 - 27 Sept. 1950)

Charles Henry Collier, age 38, who was born in Colby, Wisconsin, October 10, 1911, died last week Wednesday in a Searchlight, Nev., hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident four miles south of Searchlight.

Collier, an employee of a Searchlight club, was injured when his convertible automobile went out of control four miles south of Searchlight. The careening vehicle climbed a 15-foot embankment above the highway and turned over throwing Collier to the ground.

Funeral rites were held at the Bunker Brothers chapel, Rev. Thomas J. Daly, pastor of the Reformation United Lutheran church, officiating, after which the remains were sent to Collier’s former home in Truckee, Calif., for final rites and burial.

Collier had resided in southern Nevada for the past four years and recently had been employed as a bartender in a club in Searchlight.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Peggy O’Neil Collier of Las Vegas; one brother, John R. Collier of Truckee and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Pettiti of Reno and Mrs. Vernonica Foster of Susanville, Calif.
