Horn, Nadine (13 JUN 1953)

Miss Nadine Horn, daughter of Mr. Ervin Horn, Owen, became the bride of Charles Wentworth, son of Mr. and Mrs.Jess Wentworth of Brownsdale, Minn, in a double ring ceremony which took place in the Alliance Church at Owen on Saturday, June 13, 1953. The Rev. H. D. Wagner performed the ceremony.

The bride chose for her wedding a candle glow white satin gown styled with a lace yoke and long fitted sleeves which came to a point at the wrists. The bodice buttoned to the waist and had a lace mandarin collar. A finger tip veil of illusion caught to a Juliet cap completed the ensemble. Orchid and white gladioli and lilies of the valley, composed the bridal bouquet.

Attending the couple as maid of honor was the bride's sister Corrine Horn, Owen, and as bridesmaid, Shirley Wentworth, Brownsdale, Minn, sister of the groom. Both were dressed in gowns of orchid taffeta with net overskirts and carried bouquets of orchid and white gladioli. Dorothy Wentworth, Brownsdale, sister of the groom, filled the role of flower girl and was dressed in a white taffeta grown with an orchid net overskirt and carried a miniature bouquet styled like that of the bride.

Ira Howden Jr., Brownsdale, a friend of the groom served as best man and Gerald Horn, Greenwood, cousin of the bride, as groomsman. Richard Wentworth, Brownsdale, brother of the groom and Jerome Horn, Greenwood, cousin of the bride were ushers.

The groom wore a white tuxedo as did his attendants. Lilies of the valley made up the groom's boutonnière and his attendants each wore a white carnation.

During the double ring ceremony Mary Potts sang "I Love You So" and "Together". She was accompanied by Mrs. H. D. Wagner.

A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony.

The young couple will reside in Minneapolis, Minn. Both the bride and groom are employed in Minneapolis and plan to continue their studies at the Northwestern Bible College in September.

Out of town guest were from Greenwood, Milwaukee, Ingram, Augusta, Wausau; Minneapolis, St. Paul, Brownsdale, Minn and Riceville, Iowa.
