Thurs, Norene (Marriage - 6 May 1950)

Norene Thurs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Thurs of Loyal, became the bride of Clifford Rinehart, son of Mrs. Alvina Rinehart of Spencer, at a nuptial ceremony at the Ev. Trinity Lutheran church at Spencer Saturday, May 6, at 2:00 P.M., Rev. Mueller officiating. Henrietta Hamann, niece of the groom, was maid of honor and Catherine Jost, a friend of the bride, was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Eugene and Kenneth Thurs, brothers of the bride. Snap dragons decorated the church altar.

The bride was attired in a rose suit with white accessories, hat and gloves and purse and her bouquet consisted of deep pink carnations and white daisies. The maid of honor and bridesmaid wore suits of aqua and tan respectively, and their corsages consisted of yellow carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The couple will make their home on the groom’s farm near Spencer.
