Anderson, Anne T (26 October 1911 - 28 January 2008)

Anne T. Anderson, age 96, of Anaheim, CA, formerly of Thorp, passed away at her son’s home in Stanley on Monday, January 28, 2008.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Thorp Funeral Home with Fr. Ted Wojcik officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service.

Anne T. Troz was born on October 26, 1911, in New York, NY, the daughter of Daniel and Katherine (Figura) Troz. As a young child, her family moved to Thorp, where she was raised and received her education. Anne moved to the Twin Cities and worked at 3M. She was united in marriage in June of 1945 to Gordon L. Anderson in St. Paul, MN. They moved to Hollywood, CA, where they lived for two years before buying a home in Anaheim, CA. Anne worked for Nutra Gena for many years where she packaged cosmetics and vitamins. After retiring, she continued to live in Anaheim until moving to Thorp in 2004 to be near her children. In 2005, Anne entered Zastrow’s Care Center in Gilman where she resided until moving to her son’s home two weeks before her death.

Anne had many interests, but especially loved shopping.

She is survived by one son, Howard (Vickie) Anderson of Stanley; one daughter, Victoria (Ed) Tellstrom of Minneapolis; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Paulson, of Thorp; one brother, John Troz of King, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
