Crye, Ocy M. (10 JUN 1941)

A quiet and lovely wedding service united Miss Ocy Maurie Crye and Harris James Newmann in marriage at a service performed before immediate friends and relatives of the couple at the home of the groom’s parents at 10:00 o’clock Tuesday morning, June 10, 1941. The ceremony was performed by Father R.E. Ortmayer.

Miss Crye is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crye of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Newmann, also of Owen.

The bride wore a white gown with a red trim and wore a cream colored hat and a corsage. Her attendant, Mrs. Lloyd Halverson, wore a blue gown.

The groom was attended by Lloyd Halverson.

The ceremony was followed by a dinner and supper served at the home of the groom’s parents for 32 guests. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. George Olson and family of Suring; Mrs. S.R. Kalm of Moose Lake, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Newmann of Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Newmann, Messrs. Taylor and Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Halverson of Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Long of Curtiss.

The couple enjoyed a brief trip and are now home to their friends on their farm home northeast of the city.
