Curtiss, Wis. - Mar. 10, 1949

The Ladies’ Aid of the Evangelical Lutheran church will meet at the parish hall on Thursday, Feb. 17th. Hostesses are Mrs. Willard Geary, Mrs. Marcus Hermanson and Mrs. Morris Klemetson.

Rev. and Mrs. W. L. Anderson and daughters of Rosholt, Wis., were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Laabs.

Mr. and Mrs. Sturner and Hobart Sturner of Holcombe, Wis., called on friends here on Thursday.

Rev. and Mrs. Theo. Nelson of Greenwood, Rev. and Mrs. J. Midtlien of Stanley, Wisconsin were six o’clock dinner guests of Rev. and Mrs. G. E. Borreson on Friday.

Miss Mary Thompson of Neenah spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Thompson.

Rev. and Mrs. G. E. Borreson attended a circuit pastoral conference at Eau Claire on Monday.

Elmer Jakel returned home last week from Chicago, Illinois, where he spent the past few months.

E. M. Peterson left on Monday for St. Paul to attend a five day convention of the National Farmers Union Central Exchange.

George Murphy, who spent the past winter at his home here, left on Monday for Chicago where he will again be employed on a commercial freighter on the Great Lakes.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. P. Hoff entertained at a family dinner on Sunday to celebrate their joint birthday anniversary. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Jack McCorrison and daughter, Jane, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stoltenberg and son of Codington, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Boardman and family of Thorp and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brechelin of Dorchester, Wis.
