Geiger, Dorothy A. (Marriage - 19 Oct. 1949)

Miss Dorothy A. Geiger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Geiger, and William A. Apfelbeck, exchanged marriage vows at Abbotsford, Wisconsin Wednesday, October 19, Rev. Raymond Schulz reading the marriage ceremony.

The bride was attired in a white satin gown with fingertip veil and had a colonial bouquet. Miss Rita Geiger, sister of the bride, as maid of honor and Mrs. Frances Pevan of Chippewa Falls as bridesmaid wore gowns similar to that of the bride, in blue and gold, respectively, and also had colonial bouquets. The groom was attended by Emery E. Schmitt as best man and Francis Pevan.

A reception was held at the Abbotsford armory which was trimmed in gold, blue and white. In the evening, a wedding dance was held at Walter’s pavilion.

The 200 guests were from Kaukauna, Dorchester, Abbotsford, Colby, Spencer, Loyal, Marshfield, Wausau, Stratford, Hewitt, Appleton, Milwaukee, Menasha, Iowa, Chippewa Falls and Darboy.

The couple will make their home three miles north and a mile east of Abbotsford, Wis. The groom is employed at the Albrecht cheese factory and the bride is employed at the I.G.A. store, Abbotsford, Wis.
