Justman, Ruby Anne (Marriage - 27 Aug. 1949)

Miss Ruby Anne Justman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Justman of Colby, and Delphin C. Dommer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dommer of Colby, exchanged marriage vows in Zion Lutheran church in Colby, Wis., Saturday, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Walter W.  Justman of Spencer, Wisconsin, Route 1.

The bride was attired in a white duchess satin gown styled with long sleeves that came to points at the wrists, and ruffles that formed a bustle back ending in a long, flowing train. Her lace-edged finger-tip veil of silk illusion fell from a seed pearl headdress. Her wedding costume was further enhanced by a cascade bouquet of pink roses and white gladioli.

Her sister, Mrs. Raymond Pitz, of LaCrosse, filled the role of matron of honor, while Miss Lorraine Justman, Marshfield, another sister, and Miss Leona Dommer, the groom’s sister, were bridesmaids.

All wore gowns styled identically, the matron of honor wearing lime green, and the others, yellow and orchid respectively. The taffeta formals were styled with marquisette yokes, snug-fitting bodices, fashioned with hoop skirts tucked up in front in two places, and held with sprigs of roses. They carried colonial bouquets of roses and gladioli.

Raymond Pitz, brother-in-law of the bride, and Leonard and Arvin Dommer, brothers of the groom, were his attendants.

A 6 o’clock dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents for members of the immediate families, after which a wedding dance was given at Walter’s pavilion, Colby, Wis.

The bride, a graduate of Unity high school, was formerly employed at the Froehlke-Dadtke Insurance Agency, Marshfield, and her husband is a graduate of Colby high school.

After a honeymoon in Minnesota and the Dakotas, Mr. and Mrs. Dommer will be at home to friends on route 2, Colby, where the groom is engaged in farming.
