Wink, Edith (11 JUN 1942)

A pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church here (Thorp, Clark Co. Wis.) on Thursday morning last at nine o’clock, when Father A.M. Muckerheide joined in holy matrimony, Miss Edith Wink, daughter of Albert Wink of the Town of Reseburg, and Mr. Albert Chmelik, son of Joseph Chmelik of Cornell.

The couple was attended by Joe Buresh, as best man and Miss Margaret Wink, as bridesmaid, who wore a pink taffeta, floor length dress, with pink tiara and head veil. She carried a bouquet of Briarcliff roses, delphiniums and carnations.

The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white satin, floor length. She wore a tiara veil and carried a streamer bouquet of Kilarney roses, Swansonias and Grypsophila.

The other attending couple was Mathew Keller and Beatrice Sokolowski, whose long dress was of light blue. She wore a blue tiara and head veil, carrying a bouquet of Briarcliff roses, delphiniums and carnations.

Betty Wink, little sister of the bride, acted as flower girl, and was dressed in a light blue taffeta of floor length. She carried a basket of snapdragons, roses and carnations.

The groom and his attendants were attired in blue and wore white carnation boutonnieres.

After the ceremony a wedding breakfast and reception was held at the home of the bride’s father and in the evening a wedding dance was given at the Bohemian Hall near Cadott, Wis.

The many friends of both bride and groom join in extending best wishes.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Joseph Chmelik, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Muska, Mr. and Mrs. William Chmelik and children, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Imberry and Mrs. Matt Turleck, all of Cadott.
