Ringquist, Julia (2 Mar. 1885 - 13 Aug. 1955)

Mrs. Gust (Julia) Ringquist, a pioneer resident of the Unity, Wisconsin area, died at the age of 69 at her home at 11:20 A.M. Saturday after a lingering illness, complications being the cause of her death. Funeral services were held in the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery west of Unity.

Mrs. Ringquist, nee Williamson, was born on March 2, 1885, in the town of Brighton, the daughter of the original settlers of the Scandinavian settlement south of Unity. She was married on November 17, 1904, to Gust Ringquist, who survives her. The couple lived in the settlement until 1946 when they retired and moved to Unity where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 17, 1954.

She had been a member of the Trinity Lutheran church and was a member of its first confirmation class, Ladies’ Aid Society and Missionary Society.

Surviving besides her husband are one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Eleanor) Budde of Colby, one son, Lloyd, of Spencer; four grand children, one great grand son, one sister, Mrs. Herman (Anna) Schwantes, and one brother, William Williamson of Arpin. Three married sisters preceded her in death and six other children of the Williamson family died in infancy.
