Colby, Wis. - Local News Aug. 4, 1955

Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sossaman visited Saturday afternoon at the Otto Detjens home at Phillips, Wisconsin.

Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Dessloch spent several days in Milwaukee where they attended a coal convention.

Mrs. H. P. Mossing left for a visit with her sons and daughters-in-law at Milwaukee and West Bend.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Karl Schilling of Colby, Route 1, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Sunday, July 31.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Herrmann of Colby, Route 1, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Wednesday, July 27.

Arland Schulz of Colby Boy Scout Troop 83 received the row merit badge while at Camp Tesomas, a Boy Scout camp.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bruss of Neillsville visited Monday with the former’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Bruss.

George Schultz of International Falls, Minn., is spending this week with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Schultz.

Nyole Creed, Unity postmaster, and S. L. acting postmaster at Colby, attended a school of instructions at Merrill last week Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Klumb and sons, Kenneth, Gary and Ronald, of Sheboygan were guests several days last week at the Arlyn Edblom home.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sossaman and children of Milwaukee spent several days with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sossaman and Mr. and Mrs. John E. Anderson.

Rev. and Mrs. Arnold Beawer returned to their home in Sunnyside, Wash., after visiting at the home of Mrs. Beawer’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Bruss. Rev. Beawer also spent a week at a conference in St. Paul.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allmann and daughter of Libertyville, Ill., spent several days with the former’s mother, Mrs. Lily Allmann. The latter returned to Colby with her son and daughter-in-law from a visit at Libertyville, Ill.
