Colby, Wis. - Local News Apr. 14, 1955

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weix have moved onto a farm near Athens.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wiegman are visiting their sons and families in Chicago.

Alvin Brehm spent several days in Sheboygan where he attended the funeral of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Victor Brehm.

Mrs. Frank Ziek and her sister, Mrs. Kalps, and Mrs. Young, all of Wausau, called on their old friend, Mrs. Pauline Tesmer, last Thursday.

Mrs. Lily Allmann spent the week-end at Fond du Lac with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Morgan, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. James Beals and children of Chicago, Ill., spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer, and other relatives.

Capt. Norman Firnstahl of Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind., returned to his camp Thursday evening after spending several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Firnstahl.

Jerry Firnstahl of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Firnstahl and daughter, Diane of LaCrosse and Miss Leona Firnstahl of Wausau were week-end guests at the I. M. Firnstahl home.

Raymond Forbish of Colby, a student at Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire, has been named on the dean’s honor list for the first semester of the current academic year. A grade point average of 3.2 is required for mention. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Forbish of Colby, Wis.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral of Julia Wolk Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wolk of West Allis, Mrs. Frank Grunewald and Mr. and Mrs. Lester E. Wagner of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Larson, Mr. and Mrs. James Berger and Mr. and Mrs. John Fehl of Wausau and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wolk of Oshkosh.
