Nelson, Joseph (12 JUL 1896 - 1 NOV 1941)

Joseph Nelson was born in the Town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on July 12, 1896. He died on Nov. 1, 1941, having reached the age of 45 years, 3 months and 20 days.

He spent most of his life on the farm in the Town of Thorp where he resided with his father at the time of his death. His occupation was farming and stone mason.

Besides his aged father, John Nelson, he is survived by three brothers, Henry and Olaf of Thorp, and John of Canada; and two sisters, Helen, Mrs. Charlie Allard of Chippewa Falls and Clara, Mrs. Albert Lee of Gilman.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. James Irish at the Bogumill Funeral Home at two o’clock, Thursday afternoon, Nov. 6th, and interment took place in the Eidsvold Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Sliwa, Al Baker, Ben Hanson, Art Hanson, Al Wyre and Melvin Biddle.
