Steinwand, Suzanne Marie (Marriage - 24 Nov. 1955)

Miss Suzanne Marie Steinwand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Steinwand of Colby, became the bride of James Peter Lyons of Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry D. Lyons, also of Milwaukee, in a Thanksgiving Day ceremony performed by Rev. Vincent Schwartz, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic church at Colby, last Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock. Miss June Savage, a Milwaukee friend of the bride, was her attendant. Terry Lyons of Milwaukee, the groom’s brother, served him as best man.

The bride was attired in a sheath dress of wool in winter white. The sleeves were three-quarter length and a large round collar finished off the high neckline. Her hat was in white and her other accessories were brown. She wore a yellow orchid corsage.

Miss Savage also wore a dress cut along slim lines in peacock blue wool. Her accessories were navy blue and her corsage consisted of red roses.

For her daughter’s wedding and the dinner and reception which followed, Mrs. Steinwand wore a navy blue dress, accented with a corsage of yellow and white mums. The dinner was served at the Colby Hotel and the reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride and groom will make their home at 2407 North 35th St. in Milwaukee where the bride lived while employed at the A and P Stores general office. Her husband is employed by the Chain-Belt Co.

The bride is a graduate of Colby High School, class of 1952 and the groom is a graduate of Sheboygan High School, class of 1948.

Out of town people here for the wedding were from Milwaukee, Wausau, Waukesha and Marshfield.
