The bride wore a white full length gown with a Chantilly lace bodice and long sleeves. The skirt was of tulle over satin. Her veil of French illusion was net trimmed and had a lace edge. It was attached to a Juliet cap of lace. She carried a crescent bouquet of white gardenias, red roses and ivy.

Mrs. Kathleen Barbian of Wausau was matron of honor for her new sister-in-law. Her ballerina-length formal of orchid net with white embroidery, had a tiered skirt. Her crescent-shaped bouquet was of red roses, white carnations, mums and ivy.

The only attendant for the groom was the bride’s brother, Malcolm Cendt of Colby, Wis. Ushers at the church were Ronald Eckes of Wausau, a brother of the groom, and Conrad Christianson of Marshfield, a cousin of the bride.

Jeanne Stieber of Colby, dressed in a gown identical to the bride’s, preceded the bride down the aisle. She carried a colonial bouquet of white mums and red roses.

The bride’s mother attended the wedding in a pink linen dress with white accessories. She wore a corsage of pink roses and stephanotis. The senior Mrs. Eckes chose a light blue print dress of imported voile with white accessories. Her corsage was also of pink roses and stephanotis.

Following the services, 150 guests joined the newlyweds at a dinner in the church parlors.

The bride, a graduate of Colby High School, is employed at the Employers Mutual, Wausau. The groom, who graduated from Wausau High School, works at Silcrest, Wausau.
