Schulte, Paulina (15 July 1866 - 5 Mar. 1954)

Mrs. Robert Schulte died of old age complications Friday, March 5, at the Clark county hospital at the age of 87 years, seven months and 20 days after an illness of three and one-half years. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment was made in the Green Grove cemetery. Pall bearers were Fred Dietrich, Carl Fischer, W. F. Schwantes, Ed Kademan, Frank Will and Tony Will.

Mrs. Schulte was born in Manitowoc county on July 15, 1866, and came to Clark county as a young girl. She married Robert Schulte in Unity on July 3, 1888. They engaged in farming and lived on the farm now owned by Otto Schulte.

Surviving are two sons, Otto Schulte of Colby and Ernest Schulte of Milwaukee and two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Emma) Schuh of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Allen (Luella) Weber of La Habra, Calif. Her husband, one daughter and three brothers preceded her in death.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schuh, Mr. and Mrs. William Hitman and Emery Schuh of Rockford, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Schulte and daughter, Dolores, of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Fenn and Mrs. Henry Bub of Sheboygan, John Janning of Newton, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ecke and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Voss of Dorchester, Mrs. Arthur Schulte of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schulte of Abbotsford, August Bucholtz and daughter, Anita, of Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lipprandt of Medford and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Kademan of Marshfield.

Mrs. Schulte was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran church and the Ladies’ Aid of that congregation and will be remembered, especially by the older members of the two organizations, as one who always cheerfully performed her duties to her church and family. Her life was gentle, but like the still waters, it was deep. She discharged her various duties in life and discharged them well.
