Holtz, Ida (20 July 1883 - 24 Dec. 1953)

Mrs. Herman Holtz of Abbotsford, Wisconsin died at the age of 70 years at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Thursday, Dec. 24, following a stroke suffered Dec. 23. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at St. Peter’s Lutheran church in Dorchester, Wis., Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating, and internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Ida Ruesch was born on July 20, 1883, in Zurich, Switzerland, and came to the United States with her parents at the age of two months. She was married to Herman Holtz at Medford on December 15, 1908. The couple lived in Dorchester for 26 years and moved to Abbotsford five years ago.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Erma) Virchs of Dorchester; two sons, Raymond Holtz of Abbotsford and Harold Holtz of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one brother, Herman Ruesch of Medford; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Grahl of Medford; and four grand children. Six brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
