Pribnow, Louise (2 Nov. 1872 - 11 Feb. 1953)

Mrs. John F. Pribnow died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Wednesday morning at 4:00 o’clock, hardening of the arteries being the cause of her death. Funeral services will be held at the First Evangelical and Reformed church in Colby Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery (Colby, Wis.).

The body is lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. John F. Pribnow, whose death was chronicled last week, were held Saturday afternoon at the First Evangelical and Reformed church, Rev. John Grether of Neillsville officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Nephews acted as pall bearers and were Norman Orth, Sylvester Tesmer and Bernard Tesmer of Colby, Robert Tesmer of Marshfield, Paul Fricke of Owen and LaVerne Emling of Loyal. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Bernard Tesmer, Mrs. Robert Tesmer, Mrs. Eldred Tesmer and Mrs. Paul Fricke.

Louise Tesmer was born on a farm near Sturgeon Bay on November 2, 1872, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tesmer who came to this country from Germany. She died on February 11, 1953, thus reaching the age of 80 years, three months and nine days. She came to this community when a young girl and her marriage to John F. Pribnow took place in Colby, Wisconsin on August 15, 1894.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Irvin Eggebrecht of Colby; one son, John C. Pribnow of Loyal; one grand daughter, Mrs. George Miller of Unity; one grand son, John W. Pribnow of Loyal; four great grand daughters, one sister, Mrs. Conrad Orth of Colby; two brothers, Paul Tesmer of Colby and Herman Tesmer of Neillsville.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Art Mueller and Mr. and Mrs. Eric Maier of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Tesmer of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Irvan Larson, Harold Larson, Mrs. Ida Lueloff, Mrs. Clara Wescott, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tesmer, Mr. and Mrs. Milford Tesmer, Mrs. Louise Thieme, all of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Horn of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fricke of Owen, Harold Fricke of Denmark, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Emling, LaVerne Emling, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Pribnow, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Pribnow, all of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. George Miller of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Tesmer of Granton, Norman Orth of Milwaukee, Miss Laura Olsen of Abbotsford, Wis.

Mrs. Pribnow will be remembered as a true friend, devoted to her family with bright and winning ways so friendship’s circle to her was a large one. She will be sadly missed by members of her family and a large host of friends.
