Unity, Wis. - June 25, 1953

The Helping Hand Society will meet Friday, June 26, with Mrs. DuWayne Bulgrin at Owen.

Vacation Bible School opened on June 22 at the Congregational church and will continue one week. A program will be presented by the pupils on Friday evening.

Rev. A. C. Odden of Twin Valley, Minn., a former pastor of the Ev. Lutheran church here, will be guest speaker at the morning service on Sunday, June 28, and at Holway at 11 A.M.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kraut and children of St. Paul, Minn., were week-end guests of their aunt, Miss Bertha Kraut.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bakke, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Bakke and son, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bakke and sons, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Klein and children of Stevens Point spent Sunday at Crystal Caves.

Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Eide and daughters of Columbus, Miss., are guests this week of the former’s sister, Mrs. Art Laabs, and family. Her mother, Mrs. Emma Eide of Chili, is also visiting here.

Mrs. Victor Borgemoen was appointed village health officer and not her husband as formerly stated.

Mrs. J. E. Simpson of Sturgeon Bay spent several days with her sister, Mrs. Frank Matthias. She came to attend the wedding of her niece, Miss Dorothy Thompson, at Stevens Point Saturday.

Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson were their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Geary, of La Crosse.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Green of La Crosse visited over the week-end with his mother, Mrs. Minnie Green. They were on their way home from Marengo where they were fishing.

Mr. and Mrs. E. J. McKean of Tomah and Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Erickson and family of Westby were guests of relatives here Sunday.

Miss Alma Odland returned to her home in Sturgeon Friday after a month’s visit with her son, Rev. O. K. Odland and family.

Mrs. Ethel McCorrison of Marshfield spent the past week with her son, Jack McCorrison, and family.

Mrs. Clifford Nenzel and daughter spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Geary.
