Chadwick, Marvin (? Aug. 1862 - 14 Oct. 1943)

Marvin Chadwick, aged 81, of the town of Weston, passed away on Thursday, October 14, at the County hospital at Owen. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, October 18, at 2 p.m. at the Jaster Funeral Home, Rev. George W. Longenecker, pastor of the Congregational Church, conducting the services. Burial took place in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mr. Chadwick was born in August, 1862, in Warrensburg, N. Y.; the son of Eldridge and Ludica Chadwick. He had been a resident of Clark County for 64 years, residing in the town of Eaton most of that time, later moving to the town of Weston. About a year ago he went to Greenwood to live in a home for the aged. His illness covered a period of several months, and two months ago he entered the hospital at Owen for care and treatment. A brain tumor was the cause of death.

His parents, four brothers and one sister all preceded him in death. He was unmarried. Several nieces and nephews survive. They include: George, Clifford and Leon Atkins and Loteen Atkins, now Mrs. Hugh Christie, and Orlie Chadwick, all of Greenwood; Forest Chadwick of New York State; Roy and Guy Chadwick, who reside in the West, Ruth Chadwick, now Mrs. Ed. Arends, and Bertha Chadwick, now Mrs. Adolph McKenna, who reside in Oregon, Marcus Chadwick, town of Weston, is a cousin of the deceased.
