Tennis, Joanne Rose (Marriage - 4 Sept. 1948)

Miss Joanne Rose Tennis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Tennis of Unity, and John Walter Pribnow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack C. Pribnow of Loyal, were united in marriage at Zion Ev. Lutheran church in Colby Saturday, Sept. 4th, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. Mrs. George Miller, sister of the groom, was matron of honor, and Julaine Mandel was the bridesmaid. The groom was attended by George Miller as best man and by Herbert Main of Detroit, Mich. Flower bearers were Janice Tennis, the bride’s sister, and Mary and Christina Miller.

The bride was attired in a gown of champagne satin with sweetheart neckline and her colonial bouquet consisted of red roses and white gladiolus. The matron of honor wore a colonial style dress of yellow taffeta and her bouquet consisted of white roses and orchid gladiolus. The bridesmaid wore a colonial style dress of orchid taffeta and her bouquet consisted of white roses and yellow gladiolus.

The couple left on a wedding trip to Canada and will be at home after September 13th at Loyal.
